The incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two men have been charged in connection with a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt in the event. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
